President Carter and Monmouth University Help to Rebuild Union Beach
President Carter and his wife Rosalynn assisted around 100 volunteers in Union Beach on Saturday Oct. 11.
Zombie Mania!
The Asbury Park Zombie Walk successfully took back the Guinness World record on Saturday, October 5th. A final count of 9,592 zombies was announced to the staggering, lurching crowd of ghouls as they groaned and moaned their way down the boardwalk towards downtown Asbury to celebrate.
Free Fall Vegan Potluck and Discussion
The volunteers at the Monmouth Area Vegetarian Society (MAVS) are hosting a free fall vegan potluck plus a special discussion with Alex from Seed to Sprout: Foods to Keep You Healthy Through the Winter. The event will take place at Monmouth University’s Magill Commons Club Dining Room on Sunday, October 20th, 2013 at 1:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The Seaside boardwalk fire was contained at Lincoln Ave. and Boardwalk on Thursday at 10 p.m., but is still burning south of there.
